This was replacing an original element/burner/coil on a Kenmore model 790. The original burner support bracket's 3 arms  held the coils in place. The coils are held in place by one arm on this,the coils rest on the other two. It doesn't sit flat on the burner pan until a pan is on it. It heats more quickly than the original.
