Maytag Refrigerator Replacement

I used this fan for replacing the obsolete fan on a Maytag refrigerator. The fan has worked well and is runs quietly. This fan kit contains hardware to address multiple brands of refrigerators. My only criticism is that there are no instructions included with this kit which forced me to have to McGyver how to install it. I was able to get it to work but would have appreciated some directions on which parts to use since the attached plug did not fit my refrigerator. I was just glad to find a fan motor that would work since the originally installed motor was no longer available. This was also a low priced option. I will see how long this motor works since the windings are not sealed and I am not sure if moisture from the refrigerator coils may eventually cause the motor to fail.

I ordered what I thought was the right evaporator fan motor for my older refrigerator off Amazon. It was perfect except the fan shaft was too long. I decided to cut the shaft to fit. After that the fan started making noise and not always turning on. I contacted the company after actually looking at there website and I told them I don't expect a refund and that all I want to know is if this motor will work. They got back to me extremely quickly and refunded me my Amazon purchase and let me know it was the right fan motor. Even though I didn't expect a refund, I just wanted the right motor. After installing My refrigerator working perfectly. My wife is happy (lol) Absolutely amazing company. Will definitely use in the future for my appliance parts needs.

I have never before had a fan motor just simply stop working, but it apparently happens quite often with the plastic encased motors made by Panasonic. They use magnets and solid state electronics and don't work like an ordinary induction motor. I was therefore happy to see that Edgewater offered an inexpensive induction motor substitute. I was even happier when it came in just 3 short days and fit perfectly. Whoever put this replacement kit together, thought of everything. Installation is a simple matter of screwing and plugging it in, and I expect it will last forever. And I doubt it is any less efficient than the junk that Panasonic makes. Kudos to Edgewater.
